A lochan in the N of Dumfries and Galloway, the Dry Loch of the Dungeon is located a half-mile (1 km) northeast of Dungeon Hill. It casts off the Gala Lane, which flows north into East Ayrshire, and is not connected to the Round Loch of the Dungeon beyond a watershed to the south. It extends to 2.5 ha (6.25 acres). The Dungeon Stone lies to the southwest.
