Clachan Sound

An exceptionally narrow sea-channel which separates Seil Island from the mainland of Argyll and Bute to the north of Clachan Bridge. To the south of the bridge the channel becomes Seil Sound. The channel is ¾ mile (1.1 km) in length, but rarely more than 50m (164 feet) in width.
