Eoligarry Peninsula

(Eolaigearraidh Peninsula)

A peninsula on the Outer Hebridean island of Barra, extending northwards into the Sound of Barra. Traigh Mor, the beach famous as Barra's Cockle Strand Airport, lies on its east coast. The scattered village of Eoligarry lies at its centre and the peninsula rises to 102m (335 feet) at Ben Eoligarry. Scurrival Point (Gael: Gob Sgurabhal) lies at its northern end.
