Dores, Hill of

A wooded summit of the Sidlaw Hills in E Perth and Kinross, the Hill of Dores rises to 262m (859 feet) to the northeast of Northballo Hill, a half-mile (1 km) southeast of Pitcur and 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Coupar Angus. Nothing remains of Dores Castle, which crowns the hill and is said to have been the home of MacBeth.
