A hill rising to a height of 469m (1540 feet) on the edge of plantation forest a quarter-mile (0.5 km) west of Common Hill and 5½ miles (9 km) south southwest of Lesmahagow, Hagshaw Hill gives its name to the sizeable Hagshaw Hill Wind Farm, the first in Scotland, established in 1995.
