Clisham

(An Cliseam)

Rising to 799m (2622 feet) 5 miles (8 km) north of Tarbert in North Harris, the majestic Clisham (Gael: An Cliseam) is the highest peak in the Western Isles and is classified as a Corbett. It can be climbed via a steep route from the A859 road to the southeast, or as part of the Clisham Horseshoe - a longer walk which approaches the mountain from the northwest via Mulla-fo-Dheas, Mulla-fo-Thuath, Mullach an Langa and Mo Bhiogadail.
