One of the larger of a group of uninhabited islands lying to the northeast of North Uist, Vaccasay (also Vacasay, Gael: Bhacasaigh) rises to 18m (59 feet) a half-mile (1 km) northwest of Hermetray and 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Lochmaddy.
