An uninhabited island located on the west coast of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Vuia Mor (Gael: Fuaigh Mor) is located in West Loch Roag, a mile (0.8 km) to the west of Great Bernera and 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Valtos (Lewis). The island extends to 84 ha (208 acres) and rises to 67m (220 feet) at Mullach na Beinne. It supported a population of around 50 until the middle of the 19th century when the islanders were brutally evicted to make way for sheep.
