Royston

A residential suburb of Glasgow, Royston lies 1¼ miles (2 km) northeast of the city centre. Royston is one of the most deprived areas in Glasgow with high levels of unemployment and poor housing stock. Its southern boundary is marked by the route of the M8 motorway while to the north lies the suburb of Springburn and, to the northwest, Sighthill. Royston benefits from a post-office, library and four schools; Royston Nursery, Royston Primary and Saint Roch's Primary all on Royston Road and Saint Roch's Secondary on Rhymer Street.
