A medium-sized housing estate of S Glasgow, Arden is located between Darnley and Carnwadric, 3 miles (5 km) to the southwest of the city centre and on its boundary with East Renfrewshire. Arden was the subject The Estate, a television programme which saw designers Colin McAllister (b.1968) and Justin Ryan (b.1967) attempt to transform part of the area.
To the west lies the route of the M77 motorway while to the northwest lies Black Burn, a tributary of the White Cart Water. Rouken Glen Park lies a half-mile (1 km) to the southeast.
