King's Park

A southern district of Glasgow, with a railway station, King's Park lies between Mount Florida and Bankhead, a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Rutherglen. The name derived from 'the' King's Park, an area of land of acquired by the city in 1930 and including the David Hamilton built Aikenhead House (1806). The National Stadium at Hampden Park lies just to the northwest.
