Loch of Kinnordy

A small loch of Central Angus, the Loch of Kinnordy lies a half-mile (1 km) west if Kirriemuir. Much reduced by drainage to permit the extraction of marl, Kinnordy now represents one of the finest freshwater lochs in Angus. Providing an important habitat for wetland plant and birds, the loch today forms the significant part of a nature reserve managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).
