Glen Usinish


(Gleann Uisinis)

A valley on the remote east coast of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, the head of Glen Usinish (Gael: Gleann Uisinis) lies between Hecla (606m / 1988 feet) and Ben Corodale (527m / 1728 feet). The valley extends east for 2 miles (3 km) to the coast at Usinish Bay, to the southwest of the headland of Usinish. Loch Corodale is located within the valley and is connected to the sea by Abhainn Aon-Uillt.
