Hare Hill

A summit of the Pentland Hills on the border between Midlothian and the City of Edinburgh, Hare Hill rises to 449m (1473 feet) 2½ miles (4 km) south of Balerno. Although its summit lies in Midlothian, its northwest slopes, which descend to Bavelaw Castle and Threipmuir Reservoir, lie in Edinburgh.
