South Black Hill

A significant summit amongst the Pentland Hills of Midlothian, South Black Hill rises to a height of 563m (1847 feet) a mile (1 km) to the west of Silverburn and 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Carlops. West Kip, East Kip and Scald law, the highest in the Pentlands, form a chain behind South Black Hill. Black Hill rises to 501m (1642 feet) 2 miles (3 km) to the north.
