Cuaich Aqueduct

A diversion canal of S Highland Council Area, the Cuaich Aqueduct takes water collected from Allt Cuaich, and other nearby streams and, after passing through the Cuaich Power Station, carries it for 2½ miles (4 km) at a constant height of 370m (1213 feet) southeast past Dalwhinnie and into Loch Ericht. The canal is part of the upper-most section of the Tummel Hydro-Electric Power Scheme, which opened in 1961.
