Swanbister Bay is located on the south coast of the Orkney Mainland, between Toy Ness and Ve Ness, 6 miles (10 km) west southwest of Kirkwall. It faces into Scapa Flow. The bay is overlooked by Swanbister House and the settlement of Smoogro.
