Located a mile (1.5 km) north of Eskdalemuir, the Purelands Retreat Centre is associated with the Kagyu Samye Ling Buddhist Monastery and Tibetan Centre, which lies a further half-mile (1 km) to the north. The purpose-built centre is the focus for courses on personal discovery and understanding, meditation and spiritual development, often led by notable international Buddhist teachers and Lamas.
