North Ronaldsay Airfield

Located on the western side of island of North Ronaldsay in the Orkney Islands, the North Ronaldsay Airfield lies to the north of Hollandstoun. Built originally in 1934, the modern air service began here in 1968 and the original grass runway was replaced in 1999 by two hard runways of 467m (1532 feet) and 330m (1083 feet) respectively. The airport is operated by Orkney Islands Council and has the International Air Transport Association (IATA) location code "NRL".
