Stronsay Airport

Stronsay Airport is located at Huip on the north coast of the Orkney island of Stronsay. Opened in 1971, it is operated by Orkney Islands Council and has the International Air Transport Association (IATA) location code "SOY". It comprises three intersecting runways; one of gravel which is 515m (1690 feet) in length and two of grass measuring 411m (1348 feet) and 404m (1325 feet) respectively. An earlier airfield operated from 1934 to 1946, latterly operated by the Royal Air Force.
