Westray AirportWestray Airport is located on Aikerness, at the north of the Orkney island of Westray. Opened in 1967, it is operated by Orkney Islands Council and has the International Air Transport Association (IATA) location code "WRY". Aeroplanes leave here on the world's shortest scheduled flight to the neighbouring island of Papa Westray, taking just two minutes! It comprises three intersecting runways; one of gravel extending to 467m (1532 feet) and two of grass at 421m (1381feet) and 291m (954 feet) respectively.
