Easter Head

A headland which represents the northern termination of the Dunnet Head peninsula on the N coast of Scotland, Easter Head faces into the Pentland Firth 7½ miles (12 km) northeast of Thurso and 10½ miles (17 km) west of John o' Groats. This is the most northerly point of the mainland of Britain. Dunnet Head lighthouse was built here in 1831.
