Ayre, TheA tombolo which connects the southern end of the island of Hoy with the South Walls peninsula in Orkney, The Ayre lies a quarter-mile (0.4 km) north of Brims and a similar distance east of Hurliness. This narrow strip of land separates Aith Hope from North Bay and serves as a causeway for the B9047 road.
