A prominent peak of Appin, Meall Ban rises to 654m (2145 feet) between Gleann na h-Iola and Salachan Glen, on the border between Highland and Argyll & Bute Council Areas, 1¼ miles (2 km) east of Lochan Blar nan Lochan.
