Marscalloch Hill

A summit in N Dumfries and Galloway, Marscalloch Hill rises to 381m (1250 feet) amongst plantation forestry to the north of the B729 road, a mile (1.5 km) northeast of Kendoon Loch and 5 miles (8 km) east of Carsphairn. In the 1960s the remains of a settlement, a ring cairn and three groups of clearance cairns were noted on its eastern slopes, but these have subsequently been lost due to the afforestation.
