Cubbie Roo's CastleSaid to be the remains of the oldest stone castle in Scotland, Cubbie Roo's Castle stands on the small Orkney island of Wyre. It dates from the mid-12th Century and was probably the stronghold of the Norseman, Kolbein Hruga (Cubbie Roo) who is recorded in the Orkneyinga Saga as having a seat here.
