Choinneachain Hill

A grassy elevation with craggy eastern and southwestern faces in W Perth and Kinross, Choinneachain Hill rises steeply to 787m (2582 feet) to the east of Loch Turret Reservoir, 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Crieff. There is a cairn at its summit and the Allt Choinneachain descends to the south. The name derives from King Kenneth (Coinneach) III (d.1005), whose cairn lies to the southeast.
