A summit of the SW Scottish Borders, Cape Law rises to 722m (2368 feet) 4 miles (6.5 km) south of the Talla Reservoir and 6 miles (10 km) north northeast of Moffat. The hill extends southeast to a subsidiary summit (at 709m / 2326 feet) on the border with Dumfries and Galloway.
