Clickimin Loch
(Loch of Clickimin)

A small loch on the Shetland Mainland, Clickimin Loch (also the Loch of Clickimin) is situated immediately west of Lerwick. On a rocky islet is Clickimin Broch, a Pictish fortification occupied from c.700 BC to the 5th or 6th centuries AD. During the winter months the loch is visited by large numbers of wildfowl and close by there is a camp site and a leisure complex.
