Wisp Hill

A hill on the boundary between Dumfries and Galloway with the Scottish Borders, Wisp Hill rises to 595m (1952 feet) to the west of the A7 road and 8½ miles (14 km) north northeast of Langholm. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar installed in 1936 for the re-survey of Great Britain. Whin Fell lies a half-mile (1 km) to the south and Ewenshope Fell lies a similar distance to the southwest.
