Jamaica StreetThe Jamaica Street Bridge and River Clyde, Glasgow

Running south from Argyle Street, through the Broomielaw and over the River Clyde and beyond, Jamaica Street was established in 1762, its name showing the importance of trade between the city and the West Indies. It was at this point on the River Clyde that the second Glasgow Bridge was built, today the replacement bridge still stands.
