A summit in Central Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Eitshal (Gael: Eitseal) rises to 223m (731 feet) a half-mile (1 km) northwest of Achmore. A mast on its summit is the principal television transmitter in the Western Isles, which also provides a signal to the North West Highlands. It switched from analogue to digital-only transmission on the 7th July 2010.
