Loch Chaorunn


(Loch Chaorainn)

A small reservoir surrounded by plantation forest in Knapdale (Argyll and Bute), Loch Chaorunn (or Chaorainn) is located 2 miles (3 km) west of Stonefield Castle Hotel and 2½ miles (4 km) west northwest of Tarbert. Impounded by an earth embankment dam, it covers an area of 15.3 ha (37 acres) and is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water.
