A lochan in W Dumfries and Galloway, Loch Magillie is situated immediately to the northwest of Soulseat Loch, a half-mile (0.8 km west southwest of Castle Kennedy and 2½ miles (4 km) east southeast of Stranraer. It covers an area of 4.2 ha (10.3 acres).
