A modest loch in S Central Dumfries and Galloway, Loch Mannoch is located 3¾ miles (6 km) north of Twynholm and 5 miles (8 km) east northeast of Gatehouse of Fleet. Extending to 30.6 ha (75.6 acres), it receives the Anstool Burn from the north and the Glengap Burn from the south. It is the source of the Tarff Water, the flow into which is controlled by a small dam and sluices. Lairdmannoch Lodge is situated to the southwest, while the Martyrs' Monument lies to the southeast.
