Meall a' Bhuiridh
This mountain, rising to a height of 1108m (3635 feet) at the eastern end of Glencoe in Highland Council Area, is probably most famous for its North Eastern corrie, Corrie Pollach which has been one of Scotland's principal skiing centres since 1960 when chair lifts were installed. Located southeast of the River Etive, Meall a' Bhuiridh, together with Creise, forms a horseshoe ridge over looking Rannoch Moor. The name Meall a' Bhuiridh is derived from Gaelic and is thought to mean "hill of the rutting stags".
