Loch of Tingwall

A loch in a district of the same name in the centre of the Mainland of Shetland, the Loch of Tingwall is located 2 miles (3 km) north northeast of Scalloway and 3 miles (5 km) west northwest of Lerwick and contains a prominent island: the Holm of Setter. The loch is connected to the Loch of Asta by a stream which continues south southwest to spill into the East Voe of Scalloway. The Shetland Angling Association keeps a boat on this loch for recreational fishing.
