One of several reservoirs in the Lomond Hills in Fife, Balgillie is a small reservoir with an earth embankment dam located 1¼ miles (2 km) northwest of Leslie and 2½ miles (4 km) northwest of Glenrothes. It is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water.
