Stenhouse Reservoir

A small reservoir in S Fife, Stenhouse Reservoir is located 1½ miles (2.5 km) northwest of Burntisland and 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Aberdour. Extending to 14 ha (35 acres), with an average depth of approximately 3m (10 feet), the reservoir contains a sizeable island known as the Devil's Spadeful. The reservoir also provides a popular sporting fishery for brown trout.
