Baddinsgill Reservoir

A reservoir with an earth embankment dam on the western slopes of Mount Maw in the Pentland Hills, the Baddinsgill Reservoir is located in the N Scottish Borders, 2 miles (3 km) west of Carlops and 2½ miles (4 km) north northwest of West Linton. It opened in 1930. Lying on the course of the Lyne Water, the reservoir receives several small streams and occupies an area of 29.1 ha (71 acres).
