Dunside Lower Reservoir

The smaller of two adjacent reservoirs in South Lanarkshire, Dunside Lower Reservoir is retained by an earth embankment dam and lies 4 miles (6.5 km) west southwest of Lesmahagow and 6 miles (10 km) northwest of Douglas. It is separated from Dunside Upper Reservoir by another earth embankment dam. Operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water and the pair cover a combined area of 10.5 ha (25 acres).
