Grudie Burn
(River Grudie)

Rising as numerous headstreams to the west of Loch Shin in Sutherland, the Grudie Burn (occasionally the River Grudie) flows southeast for 8 miles (13 km) to fall into the River Shin. It gains water from Loch na Fuaralaich and Loch na Caillich in Strath Grudie, but is substantially diverted by dams in its lower reaches to provide water to the Shin Hydro-Electric Scheme.
