Farg, River

A modest river of E Perth and Kinross, the River Farg emerges from the eastern end of Glenfarg Reservoir and flows east to the village of Glenfarg then turns north to flow alongside the M90 motorway for 1¼ miles (2 km) before descending through the picturesque gorge of Glen Farg. It emerges onto the flat plain of Strath Earn near Aberargie and falls into the River Earn 1¼ miles (2 km) northwest of Abernethy, having completed a course of 8 miles (13 km). Its principal tributaries are the Eastertown March Burn, Binn Burn and Dron Burn.
