River Housay


(Abhainn Thabhsaig, Abhainn Habhsaidh)

A remote stretch of river in North Harris in the Outer Hebrides, the Housay (Gael: Abhainn Thabhsaig or Abhainn Habhsaidh) represents the lower reaches of the Ulladale River, forming as it departs Loch a' Phearcail. It flows northeast for 1¼ miles (2 km) to spill into the head of Loch Resort.
