Hyskeir
(Oigh Sgeir, Oigh-sgeir)

A group of low-lying rocky basalt islets which merge into one at low tide, Hyskeir (Gael. Oigh Sgeir) is one of the Inner Hebrides in Highland Council Area, Hyskeir, located 6 miles (10 km) southwest of the island of Canna and 9 miles (14 km) west of Rum. A lighthouse was established on the largest of these islets in 1904 and the keepers created a one-hole golf course for their amusement. The light was automated in 1997 and the group is now uninhabited.
