Levenhall

The easternmost section of Musselburgh in East Lothian, Levenhall lies beyond Musselburgh Race Course, a mile (1.5 km) east of the town centre. The Levenhall roundabout is an important junction between the A199 road, the B1348 coastal route to Prestonpans, Cockenzie and beyond, and the B6454 to Inveresk. The Royal Musselburgh Golf Club began on Levenhall Links in 1774, an area which it shared with several other notable golf clubs. Today, Levenhall Links is much extended due to a land reclamation project using waste ash from Cockenzie Power Station.
