Am Buachaille

Am Buachaille (meaning 'the herdsman') is a dramatic pinnacle located at the southwestern end of Sandwood Bay on the northwest coast of Sutherland in Highland Council Area. Rising to a height of 65m (213 feet), it lies off the headland of Rubh' a Bhuachaille and is composed of red Torridonian sandstone. This sea stack was first climbed by Tom Patey and Ian Clough in 1968.
