Orchy, Strath of

A narrow flat-lying strip of land which represents the lower reaches of Glen Orchy extending to Loch Awe, the Strath of Orchy trends southwest until it receives Glen Lochy and then west. The settlements of Dalmally and Stronmilchan occupy the lower section, while Kilchurn Castle lies at its western termination. The A85 trunk road and West Highland Railway also pass though the valley.
