Fraoch Eilean

One of three small islets located in the channel to the north of the Craignish Peninsula which have been connected to form the southern breakwater of the Craobh Haven marina, Fraoch Eilean (or 'heather island') rises to 10m (32 feet). Eilean an Duin lies to the northeast and a small rocky islet to the southeast connects the breakwater to the shore. Together with Eilean Buidhe, which is at the centre of the northern breakwater, and Eilean Arsa, located just to the southwest, these islands were occasionally known as the Craobh Islands.
