Gasay


(Gasaidh)

An uninhabited rock-trimmed islet on the east coast of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Gasay (Gael: Gasaidh) is by far the largest of a number of rocky islets at the mouth of Loch Carnan. The island extends to 8.4 ha (20.6 acres) and rises to 14m (45 feet) a half-mile (1 km) northeast of Loch Carnan Power Station.
